- Abstract
The article discusses different presentations made at the 97th Annual Meeting of the Ecological Society of America, held in Portland, Oregon, in August 2012. The event focused on the causes of forest mortality due to drought. Nate McDowell from Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico, talked about the processes involved in drought-induced mortality. Amy Whipple from Northern Arizona University described links between drought related mortality and genetics.
