- Abstract
The article discusses variation in educational and licensure regulations in qualifying for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination in the U.S. It reports the lack of consistency in the educational requirements established by each state, noting that some follow specifications set by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. The complexity of licensing requirements in New York is explored. A comparison between face-to-face and online exam delivery methods is offered.
