- Abstract
The article discusses 19th-century correspondence sent between British colonial administrators from the Moreton Bay penal colony in Queensland and British government officials. Focus is given to correspondence sent between such figures as British Secretary of State Henry Bathurst, 3rd Earl Bathurst, English judge John Thomas Bigge, and New South Wales Governor Sir Thomas Brisbane as a means to explain the establishment of the colony.
