- Title
A Shift to Narrativity.
- Authors
Kiernan-Johnson, Derek H.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the scope and substance of Applied Legal Storytelling (AppLS), particularly the definition of story, storytelling and narrative. It explores the quality of storytelling and narrative story that can be contributed to legal text or performance, arguing that storytelling may be inadequate to study the influence of story and its elements on the practice of law. It suggests shifting the focus to narrativity as it best captures various aspects of AppLS being investigated by scholars and teachers.
