- Title
Ahimsa and Satyagraha in the Shor Stories of Rabindranath Tagore: A Brief Analysis.
- Authors
CHELLIAH, S.; KAVITHANJALI, J.
- Abstract
This paper examines how Tagore, in his shorter fictions, projects Ahimsa and Satyagraha as stern humanistic virtues to build up humanity's future. This paper shows how Tagore projects Gandhiji and Gandhian thoughts as distancing them from political ideas and bringing them closer to human life. In a word, this paper presents how Tagore, through his characters, proves Ahimsa and Satyagraha as the driving forces for the sound virtuous life.
