- Title
New directions for regional analysis: Methods and applications.
- Authors
Postiglione, Paolo
- Abstract
The benefits of co-operation between different scholars usually improve the productivity and quality of the papers (Hopper & Wilson, 2015; Lee & Bozeman, 2005). Following these ideas, the Regional Economic Application Laboratory (REAL) of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) was formed in January 1989 as a co-operative venture between the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (FED) and the University of Illinois. This is a research network in regional science of REAL people integrated by European researchers devoted, as REAL, to the study of models for urban and regional analysis and economic development.
