- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents research studies on the effects of alcohol and drugs of abuse on the neurobiological systems. The studies include the effect of alcohol withdrawal on the expression of phosphodiesterase 10A (Pde10a) cyclic nucleotide regulator, the role of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) in the brain, and the effect of ethanol-induced dopamine neurons on ventral tegmental area. A study on the role of calcium-activated potassium (BK) channel subunits in alcoholism is also cited.
