In the years B.C., when mankind existed, accessories such as leaves, branches and then clothes were used for covering, protection from coldand then clothes began to be formed with the invention of fabric and sewing. Dressing, which dates from those days to the present day, has found a place in their lives as a kind of way of expressing themselves, a sign of status, along with the fact that it is a basic need. Due to the fact that humanity is a social and interactive being, different interpretations of art have emerged from many points of view. These art interpretations, which form the basis of art movements, inspire artists and combine with their creativity and have emerged as works in fields such as literature, painting, sculpture, architecture and fashion. One of these movements, minimalism, began in the 1960s and has survived to the present day. It was born as a reaction to the Pop Art movement; it is a current that emphasizes simplicity and singularity. In minimalism, black, white and pastel colors are in the foreground. In this study, body of literature and text analysis were carried out by searching the literature. The collections of Turkish Fashion Designer Nihan Peker, who embraced the minimalism art movement and emphasized it in her designs, were examined in detail.
