An interview with American novelist Norman Mailer is presented. According to the novelist, terrorists are being so hated because they destroy the idea that a person could have a meaningful ending to his life. Mailer explains why there is no great writers nowadays compared to the time of Ernest Hemingway whose contemporaries include William Faulkner and John Steinbeck. He believes that violence and creativity are interrelated.
