- Abstract
The article offers information on a study for evaluating the functional activity of the mineralocorticoid receptor system in regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. It informs that 24 samples were divided into following categories treatment-resistant depression, healthy controls and the effect of spironolactone alone. The study showed that treatment-resistant depression is associated with hypercortisolism.
