The article features photographer J.K. Hillers. Hillers has been known as an expedition's photographer, and most of his works focused more in the west and later in Washington. Hillers was sent to Okmulgee in 1875 to take photos of gathering that includes members of the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes. He started his project on May 9, 1875 and continued for the next five days. Photographs he had taken for this project are presented.
