- Abstract
The article focuses on the policymaking in Ireland and the commission of enquiry as the potential source of ideas in policymaking in the country. Topics include the role of the Banking Commission, the Commission on Emigration, and the Commission on the Status of Women in the emergence of ideas in policymaking, the report "Investment in Education" which discusses the imbalance between education and the economy, and the ideas that emerged within the commissions.
