- Title
Alternatives in Analyzing Repeated Measures.
- Authors
Fridlund, Alan J.
- Abstract
This article presents information related to problems with traditional univariate repeated- measures in analysis of variance in psychophysiology. There is nothing inherent in psychophysiological data that calls for special obsessiveness. Psychophysiologists often use both multiple manipulations and multiple dependent measures, they can easily run afoul of compound symmetry and sphericity assumptions. Statistics texts do not sufficiently stress the need for F-test adjustments, and multivariate alternatives, if they are mentioned, are not explicated.
