- Title
Expert Witnesses: Their Reports.
- Authors
Jacobs, Marvin A.
- Abstract
The article discusses an expert's written report that is required by courts in some states for the mandatory exchange of reports between all parties and not just for plaintiffs and defendants. It is stated that the report serves as an outline for the expert witness and the defense counsel to prepare them both for the direct examination at the trial and that it should be jointly made by them. Discrepancies in the expert witness' report and testimony at trial can reportedly lead to the latter being stricken off the record.
