- Abstract
The article reports on the study which evaluated the importance of sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy to patients with melanoma between 1 mm and 2 mm Breslow thickness. It examined the prognostic factors in various subsets of patients to determine the need for SLN biopsy. It implies that SLN biopsy was recommended for all patients due to the diversity in the biologic behavior of melanoma.
