- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the clinical features, therapy and natural course of patients with extrapulmonary small-cell carcinoma (EPSCC) and small-cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) to better define current concepts regarding EPSCC. The study included a total of 65 small-cell carcinoma (SmCC) cases between January 1999 and May 2006. The study found that overall survival of all patients with EPSCC and patients with extensive EPSCC disease was 32 months and 28 months, respectively.
