- Abstract
The article offers information on a study which estimated the cost effectiveness of biennial mammography among Chinese women in Hong Kong to inform evidence-based screening policies. The researchers of the study have developed a state-transition Markov Model to stimulate mammography screening, breast cancer diagnosis and treatment for the study respondents. The study reveals that biennial screening resulted in a gain in life expectancy compared with no screening at an incremental cost.
