- Abstract
The article presents analytic and conceptual frameworks that integrate many approaches to studying and understanding health promotion dissemination processes within the systems of public health. The analysis is based on a research program of the Canadian Heart Health Dissemination Project which examines national heart health dissemination activities. The examination was made to be able to develop a systematic protocol for measuring levels of capacity and dissemination, and to determine successful conditions and barriers to capacity and dissemination, as well as the relationship between these factors.
