- Abstract
The article discusses the study which examines the relationship between risky driving, parenting, deviance, and the stability of risky driving over time. The subjects were 261 licensed adolescents who have undergone telephone interviews about risky driving, parenting practices, and orientations toward deviance and risky behavior. It concludes that parenting style could influence on adolescent driving. Parenting practices such as monitoring and behavioral control could lead to adolescent responsible driving. It suggests that high levels of risky driving are related to parenting.
