- Abstract
The article reports on the indexed long-term repo (ILTR) operations of the Bank of England in order to improve the liquidity insurance facilities. It mentions how the ILTR adjusts automatically with the increase in the liquidity crisis in the financial system. It further mentions that the ILTR is based on auction theory and there is no limit for the amount of liquidity which may be provided by the bank, based on the signs of financial crisis in the system.
