The article focuses on credit spreads as measured by the Bank of England since the 2007 financial crisis and how they can be used in the central macroeconomic projections of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) in Great Britain. Topics discussed include the calculating methods used by the Bank of England in measuring credit spreads, the Bank's Credit Conditions Survey (CCS), and the impacts of improving credit conditions based on the May 2014 issue of the economic publication Inflation Report.
