- Abstract
The article discusses the production diseases of dairy cows in Ireland. It presents surveys on production diseases such as subacute ruminal acidosis (SARS), milk fever and displaced abomasum in cows that contributes to loss in production and culling rates. It also discusses the impact of these diseases to heifers calving and cites the significant of dry cow strategies in preventing such diseases.
