- Abstract
The authors reflect on a study which examined the effects of patients' socioeconomic status on the medical outcomes of patients with fibrosing interstitial lung disease (fILD), including mortality, lung function and lung transplantation in Canada and the U.S. Other topics include the limitations of the study, and how the implementation of Canadian Medicare reduced the socioeconomic disparities in healthcare.
