- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which assessed the proportion of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients who received information regarding azathioprine and their understanding of adverse events. To gather information regarding patients' understanding of azathioprine and its adverse effects, a 10-question anonymous survey was designed. Results showed that 24% of patients surveyed had their full blood picture (FBP) checked monthly, but almost 20% had their FBP checked less than six monthly.
