- Title
TEACHING "HUMAN GEOGRAPHY" OVER TELEVISION.
- Authors
Johnson, Hildegard Binder
- Abstract
The article reports on the teaching of Human Geography, or Geography 231R, a three-credit semester course offered over the KTCA, the Twin City Area Educational Television, to day and off-campus students of Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, from September 16, 1958 to January 15, 1959. The usual adjustments inherent in television performances aside from the adjustment of the course to students, are explained. Drawing the maps and charts presents the greatest single task in the preparation of visual aids for the teaching of geography over television.
