- Title
Rieter: new concept of twisting.
- Abstract
This article features the Universal Twister: UT 50, a two-for-one twisting machine developed by Drome, France-based Rieter Textile Machinery France SA. Short delivery time, small batch production, in a word, flexibility, is more than ever the trump card for yarn converters. Optimum productivity and low operating costs are the key factors benefiting from the best equipment. The UT 50 does not use a headstock but just one electrical cabinet for one or more modules. This saves floor space and permits free workshop layout, to ease the material flow. Many applications such as tire cords, fishing nets and climbing ropes, use multiply cabled yarns.
