- Abstract
Objective: to understand the changes in nurse training directed to the Sistema Único de Saude - SUS from the life story of a nursing professor. Methodology: qualitative research, using the method of oral history of life, described by Meihy. Our sample will consist of a professor of undergraduate nursing at the Universidade do Rio Grande do Norte/UERN at the campus Caicó, who experienced the process of deploying SUS. As instruments for collecting information, we will use the field notebook and a semi-structured interviews. The information will be analyzed through the technique of content analysis, in the form of thematic analysis. The research was approved by the research ethics committee of UERN by Opinion number 025/11 and CAAE 0018.0.428.000-11. After approval, we will begin to collect information. Expected results: It is expected that with the development of the study it is possible to understand how various changes in public health in Brazil influenced in nursing education, as well as its practice, and to help new generations to understand the moment of creation and especially the SUS implementation.
