- Title
Deformation of Continuous-Cast Metal During Rotary Rolling.

Nikulin, A.; Streletskii, V.
- Abstract
The mechanical characteristics of metal obtained by rotary rolling are 30–50% higher than the requirements of GOST and TU standards. By changing the feed angle in the rolling operation in order to change the degree of fragmentation and homogeneity of the structure of the metal over the cross section of the semifinished product, it is possible to obtain rolled products with different amounts of induced anisotropy. Goods made from such products function well in systems that are subject to cyclic loads. It might be possible to eventually use rotary rolling to obtain sections with a controlled structure corresponding to the requirements established by the customer for the service properties of the final product.
