- Abstract
Graph The EtOAc extracts were fractionated by column chromatography with silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, and preparative HPLC to afford compounds B 1 b - B 7 b . These compounds were determined to be chaetoviridin A ( B 1 b ) [[6]], chaetoviridin B ( B 2 b ) [[6]], chaetomugilin I ( B 3 b ) [[8]], chaetomugilin A ( B 4 b ) [[9]], 11-epichaetomugilin A ( B 5 b ) [[10]], chaetoglobosin R ( B 6 b ) [[11]], and 10,11-dihydroxyaureonitol ( B 7 b ) [[12]] by comparing their 1D NMR and ESI-MS data with the literature. Compound B 3 b exhibited significant antitumor activities against PC9, TE-1, KYSE-30, SW-620, and MDA-MB-231 cell lines (Table 1). The isolated compounds B 1 b - B 5 b belong to azaphilones, which have various bioactivities, such as cytotoxic, antimicrobial, and nitric oxide inhibitory activities [[13]-[15]].
