- Abstract
The article discusses the Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation programs funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The programs are designed to identify work-related injury deaths, investigate the identified contributory factors and develop recommendations for death prevention. An overview of the results of an investigation on the death of a bathtub refinisher exposed to methylene chloride is given.
