- Abstract
The article discusses the problem of lead exposure in adults worldwide particularly the U.S., noting a study's finding that 95 percent of cases of high blood lead levels (BLL) among U.S. adults are work-related. It cites the Adult Blood Lead Epidemiology and Surveillance (ABLES) program of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) which identified high lead exposure of workers mostly in manufacturing and mining.
