- Abstract
The article discusses the concept called government dragnets, which is a phenomenon of group arrests wherein a large number of individuals are innocent of any wrongdoing in the U.S. It provides a description of the effects and nature of dragnet actions and examines law-enforcement efforts. It tries to summarize on how the U.S. Supreme Court address group searches. It cites the argument of Richard Worf that group searches should be evaluated against the backdrop of political-process theory, and though exigency considerations and proportionality.
