- Title
ANIMAL RIGHTS WITHOUT CONTROVERSY.
- Authors
Sunstein, Cass R.
- Abstract
The article suggests a way of aligning the present practices in animal treatment with the moral judgment of the public, especially those consumers who believe that these practices are unacceptable. The authors propose to companies to disclose to the consumers, the way they treat animals used for food. This disclosure will not only allow consumers to make knowledgeable choices on what food to buy but will also make markets work better and ensure better democratic discussion on animal treatment.
