- Abstract
The article discusses a study of Juncus squarrosus located in the British Isles. It mentions that Juncus squarrosus occurs outside Europe in Morocco although there is rarity in its occurrence in Rif Mountains. The author explains that Juncus squarrosus is intolerant of shade in the seedling stage. Juncus squarrosus does not occur in woodland and herbaceous communities where plants grow tall. Juncus squarrosus is dominant in some communities and consists of Juncus-Vaccinium myrtillu nodum and Juncus-Carex nigra-PolytricInim commune nodum.
