- Title
The pervious refractory die technique for fabricating porcelain crowns and fixed partial dentures.
- Authors
Southan, David E.
- Abstract
The article presents information related to the pervious refractory die technique which is used for the fabrication of all-porcelain fixed partial dentures and splints. This technique, in which a high-fusing ceramic core or framework is needed, is especially useful in cases with marked gingival recession. As reported, in the pervious refractory die technique, the materials are esthetic and biocompatible. One of the important advantages of this refractory die technique is that it provides a means of fabricating all-porcelain prostheses with relatively few internal defects.
