- Authors
Stombaugh, Eileen F.
- Abstract
The article discusses three significant ways that would reduce stress among the dental team inside dental operatory. The team can use several principles in order to minimize stress including arrangement of the operatory, use of the assistant's stool and obtaining good visibility of the oral cavity. As part of the arrangement principle, Class V movement, which requires gross muscular activity and is time- consuming can be avoided by placing the mobile cart directly in front of the personnel. The dental team should avoid misuse of the stool as it results to stress. Assistant should have a good visibility of the mouth being treated in order to lessen strain.
