- Abstract
Based on the Research on Key Technology for Cutter Suction Dredgers with 5 000 kW Cutter Head sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, and in the light of the technical characteristics and the configuration of equipment for the target dredger, we researched six critical problems of the integrated intelligent control system for a large self-propelled cutter suction dredger, including the research of structure model of the integrated intelligent control system; development of dredging control system; development of power management system based on dredging efficiency of dredger plant; development of representation system of dredging track , 3D seabed and subsoil conditions; research of software model; and development of automation system. A prototype was designed to verify the functions of the integrated intelligent control system. The verified result proves that research achievement is very valuable to put into practice widely on large self-propelled or non-self propelled cutter suction dredger built domestically.
