- Abstract
The article focuses on Kings Bay Y (Y), a Jewish Community Center serving the Brooklyn, New York neighborhoods of Sheepshead Bay, South Midwood, Homecrest, Marine Park, Bergen Beach, and Mill Basin. It discusses the changes instituted by the center to serve the different subcommunities in the area. The author highlights the role of the United Jewish Appeal Federation in guiding the Y in the development of its short-term plans and long-term vision, and in reviving the board of directors of Y's organization.
