- Abstract
This work studies the spectroscopic behavior of Holmium Oxide (Ho2O3 /Ho (III)) doped borax glasses to investigate its optical properties. Spectroscopic parameters like Racah (E1, E2 and E3), spin orbit (ξ4f) and judd-ofelt intensity parameters (Ω2, Ω4, and Ω6) have been calculated. Also radiative and nonradiative transition probabilities (AT and ATR ), radiative lifetime (τR), branching ratio (β) and integrated absorption cross section (Σ) have been obtained. However, this work marks lanthanide borax as a candidate single crystal for active and nonlinear materials for UV-VIS band applications.
