- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of private capital in addressing climate change and achieving the goals set by the Paris Agreement. It emphasizes the need for private finance to mobilize substantial capital reserves to support green energy initiatives and transition away from fossil fuels. The article highlights the role of green finance in driving economic growth and the proliferation of environmentally conscious investment funds. It also provides examples of investment firms, such as Ardian and RWE AG, that are actively investing in renewable energy projects. The article concludes by stating that private equity firms worldwide are recognizing the risks of inaction and are increasingly participating in the energy transition.
