The article discusses the role and implication of self-determination in the life-span perspective of exceptional children. The journal provides definition and vital facts of self-determination in regards with child and adulthood transition and adult abilities as well as its notion for life-span approach. It presents the role of family member, teacher, and the society in the realistic expectation and development in individuals with disabilities towards self-determination. It elaborates the concept of self-determination including its theories, principles, and its scope on life span transition towards self-determination.
