- Abstract
Knowledge sharing is an essential component of every company's success. In the absence of efficient knowledge management, no company can last long. Social networking is a relatively new notion that has shown to be quite effective for knowledge sharing. Purpose-This Paper aims to study factors that impact job related knowledge sharing of the employees through social media. The scholarly research on factors influencing knowledge sharing by employees is uncovered in this study from the knowledge sharing self-efficacy and knowledge sharing behaviour perspectives. Methodology-The Primary data for the study was gathered using a structured questionnaire in Google form from the employees in IT sector in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali. Factor Analysis has been applied to study the proposed objective. Findings- Knowledge sharing Self-efficacy and Knowledge sharing behaviour were extracted as the two factors that impact job related knowledge sharing by the employees through social media.
