NEW YORK CITY'S HIGH SCHOOL OF THE AIR.
- Abstract
The article provides information about the High School of the Air Home Instruction in New York City. The initiative was carried out through the joint sponsorship of Associate Superintendent Frederic Ernst who is in-charge of New York City's high school division and Association Superintendent Frank J. O'Brien who was in-charge of the division of welfare. Radio staff is composed of selected teachers from the division of physically handicapped children. Included in the 15 minute airplay are lessons in science, social studies, and English. Supplementary materials such as word lists and book lists are provided to students via mail.
