- Abstract
The article discusses the contributions of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) in the Asia-Pacific region. It notes the 50th anniversary celebration of GESA, which is a founding member of the Asia-Pacific Associations of Gastroenterology. It mentions the interests of GESA, including autoimmune liver diseases, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and laparoscopic surgery. It cites the ultimate goal of the organization which is to improve the health of their communities and region.
