- Abstract
The article outlines the sponsorship of Western Australian School Library Association to Margaret Muthiga, a teacher librarian at Kilimo Primary School, in Njoro, Kenya. Part of Margaret's program is to establish a reading scheme in 2003 called "Why Wait Reading Club" that encourages an interest in reading with the aim in promoting literacy, helping and uplifting the standards of reading for the lower-ability learners and to make reading a culture. She goes to different schools so that they can enjoy reading and exchange of books. As part of its program, all its members were asked to take a new library book to be send to Kilimo Primary School.
