Global or Stateless Corporations Are National Firms with International Operations.
- Authors
Yao-su Hu
- Abstract
The article discusses the concept of global or stateless corporations. Often referred to as the international or multinational corporation, these firms in theory have no one country to which they owe more loyalty than any other. In order for a company to be considered stateless in the sense of being indifferent between nations it is necessary that its operations be evenly distributed among nations. Other criteria include ownership, control, top management, and legal nationality of the group and its components.
