ATOPIC DERMATITIS.

- Abstract
This article focuses on a skin disorder known as Atopic dermatitis. It has been clearly established as a distinct clinical entity during the past several decades. The term atopic also connotes the hereditary allergic background often present in patients with this condition, but thus far the marriage of this distinctive cutaneous reaction pattern to the immunologically mediated respiratory components of atopy has been barren in the production of an adequate explanation of the pathogenesis of this common skin disorder. Atopic dermatitis occurs commonly in certain immunologic deficiency diseases.
