- Abstract
Development of a hydraulic press machine is detailed in this paper. The main aim of the device is to make standard size rock cores from powdered rock particles via hydraulic pressing after a manual preparation. In order to increase productivity, the device is equipped with three independent stations. The development process contains the mechanical, electrical design of the system and the programing of PLC and HMI modules. This paper mainly focuses on electrical design and programing of the press machine. A self-devised proportional controller module is created to control a proportional pressure relief valve. Nonlinear characteristic of the entire system is determined by measurements and considered in the PLC program. The system parameters of the machine, e.g., pressure, hysteresis range can be flexibly adjusted by user within certain limits
