- Title
The Office of St Winnoc: An Early Stage of the Rhymed Numerical Office.
- Authors
Norwood, Patricia P.
- Abstract
The article offers information on the preparation of the rhymed numerical office of St. Winnoc in England. It states that the formation of the office undergoes three processes including the Matins texts depicted from the saint's biography, the composition of fresh pieces into a rhymed office and the formation of a composite entity. It notes that medieval manuscripts suggested that the first two of the three typical practices of the formations of the office influence the shaping of St. Winnoc's extant office.
