- Title
General Information about the 2009 Antimarkup Rule and the Limitations It Imposes on Some Physicians and Suppliers.
- Authors
Tayon, Kathy J.
- Abstract
The article provides information about the use of the 2009 antimarkup rule for physicians and suppliers in the U.S. The antimarkup rule will impose limitations on the amount of the diagnostic test bill ordered by the physician or other supplier who does not share an office with the billing physician or supplier. The scheme also offers two alternative tests to indicate that the physician who conducted the diagnostic test shares the same practice with those who are billing for and ordering diagnostic kits. It also gives flexibility to the physicians who will offer their professional services to more than one physician, organization or supplier.
